Just getting started with Stratosphere? Need a little guidance on the measuring tools. Below you'll find a quick summary of each tool and a video that walks you through how to use them to complete takeoffs.
- Line - Click the starting point of the line and then click each point along the line, keeping in mind that you can hold the SHIFT key to ensure a 90-degree angle from the previous point. Double-click the end point to finish the line or press the D key on your keyboard for “Done”
- Area - Click the starting point of the shape and then click each point along the perimeter, keeping in mind that you can hold the SHIFT key to ensure a 90-degree angle from the previous point. Double-click the end point to finish the shape or press the D key on your keyboard for “Done”
- Rectangle - Click the starting corner of the shape and then click the opposite corner to complete the rectangle
- Subtract area - Click the starting point of the shape and then click each point along the perimeter, keeping in mind that you can hold the SHIFT key to ensure a 90-degree angle from the previous point. Double-click the end point to finish the shape or press the D key on your keyboard for “Done”
- Ellipse - Click the starting point of your shape and then use the mouse to adjust the size and proportions of the shape. Click again to finish the shape
- Count - Point and click each location on the plan where you wish to apply a count symbol
