When you bring in a description from Excel into the Stratosphere layer list, the cell in Excel and the layer in Stratosphere are linked together with a hyperlink. Any changes made to the the layer should automatically update the quantity back in Excel. The "Refresh" icon in the Excel toolbar forces the 2 programs to update to make sure the quantities displayed in the spreadsheet match the takeoff data in Stratosphere.
From time to time, you will use the Refresh button in the Excel toolbar and the the quantity does not immediately update in your spreadsheet. This is usually caused by a slow internet connection or the cloud server lagging because of heavy use during peak hours. If you experience this issue, after a short period of time, the quantity in Excel will appear and update the quantity. We are working on improving the performance of the servers on our side and hope to have the lag resolved with a permanant fix soon.
